Health Information Services Officer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Health Information Services team as a Health Information Services Officer. In this role, you will be responsible for compiling and sorting medical records, retrieving medical records, and providing health information to internal and external clients.
Key Responsibilities:
- Compile and sort medical records to be electronically tracked
- Retrieve medical records as required
- Provide health information to internal and external clients
- Filing and culling of medical records
- Day-to-day functionality of the Health Information Service Department
- Participate in performance improvement activities
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to work in Australia
- Proficient in use of email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Basic knowledge of medical terminology (desirable)
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the business
- Commitment to document security and patient privacy
- Experience with the WebPAS patient information system (desirable)
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or record-keeping environment (desirable)
- Previous experience in Health Information Services (desirable)
