Health Information Services Officer

Job Summary:
The Health Information Services Officer will be responsible for providing accurate and timely health information to internal and external clients. This will include retrieving medical records, filing paperwork, and participating in performance improvement activities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Medical record retrieval and management
- Provision of health information to internal and external clients
- Filing and culling of medical records
- Day-to-day functionality of the HIS department
- Participating in performance improvement activities
Essential Criteria:
- Authority to work in Australia
- Proficient use of email, web-based applications, and Microsoft Word and Excel
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work autonomously and as a team member in a small team environment
- Ability to work within deadlines
- Flexibility in responding to the changing needs of the business
- Commitment to document security and patient privacy
Desirable Criteria:
- Experience with the WebPAS patient information system
- Previous experience in a healthcare setting or record keeping environment
- Previous experience in Health Information Services
