Advanced Oncology Nursing Leader

The Nurse Unit Manager will lead a multidisciplinary team, applying advanced nursing knowledge and skills to ensure a positive workforce and effective resource management.
They will work closely with the centre leader, quality manager, and Director of Nursing to apply evidence-based best-practice guidelines and stay updated on current trends in oncology nursing.
Key Responsibilities- Lead by example as a skilled professional, maintaining high-level communication with staff and stakeholders.
- Develop and manage performance, conduct annual reviews, and support GenesisCare initiatives for culture improvement, quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
- Evaluate and implement continuous improvement projects within the onsite team.
- Contribute to delivering exceptional patient care through leadership and collaboration.
- Holding current Registration as a Nurse with AHPRA.
- Clinical experience - 3 years, with at least 1 year in oncology nursing.
- Demonstrated clinical expertise and ability to apply relevant legislation, guidelines, and standards.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with empathy for patients and their carers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Promoting quality improvement and adherence to best practice principles.
- A strong commitment to quality patient care and leading teams effectively.
