About the Role

The Assistant Director supports the Centre Director in the overall leadership of the Centre. This senior role is responsible for extending knowledge, expertise, and network of relationships with children, families, and educators. The Assistant Director, in collaboration with the Director, and Kambu Health's policies, procedures, and strategic direction, will assist with team development ensuring high-quality education and care services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Support the Director in Daily Operations: Assume overall management in Director's absence, ensuring business continuity of a high-quality and safe education and care service.
  2. Adhere to Kambu Health Policies: Ensure adherence to Kambu Health policies, procedures, standards, and Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics.
  3. Ensure High-Quality Programs: Ensure that high-quality early learning programs are designed and delivered, incorporating critical thinking and reflective practice into daily operations.
  4. Build Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with children, families, Educators, the local business community, and all other stakeholders.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to possess:

  • A Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care/Children's Services.
  • Current First Aid and CPR, Asthma & Anaphylaxis Certificates.
  • A current Blue Card.
  • Ability to gain a suitable criminal history check.
  • Current C Class Driver's License (QLD).
  • Exhibit an extensive understanding of the Early Years Learning Development Framework, National Quality Standards (NQS), and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Showcase the ability to lead and mentor a team of dedicated early childhood professionals.
