Job Overview
The successful applicant will have 6-10 years' experience in consulting, government or industry working to deliver environmental impact assessments and approvals. We are looking for an experienced Environmental Consultant to join our Environmental Impact & Assessment team based in Melbourne. As a key member of the team, you will work alongside local specialist teams, as well as the wider APAC team to deliver a complete environmental service to clients across a range of sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Supporting the delivery of environmental impact assessments and approvals.
- Working beside the rest of the Planning and Assessment Service Line partnering with Environmental Consultants, Urban Planners, GIS experts and Social Impact & Consultation Specialists across Australia; in the Melbourne office we also have other technical disciplines covering noise and vibration, air quality, contamination and remediation, ESG, Sustainability and more.
- Delivering the best possible outcome for clients with a focus on quality.
- Assisting with preparing fee proposals and preparing high quality reports.
- Preparing environmental approvals documentation.
Experience and Qualifications
- A professional qualification in environmental science, environmental planning or engineering or other relevant degree.
- 6-10 years' experience at a professional level, ideally in consulting.
- Experience delivering environmental effects assessments and approvals.
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental approval processes outside of Victoria is an advantage.
- Demonstrated experience working in multidisciplinary project teams.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables on competing timeframes.
- A clear, concise and professional writing style.

Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
