Our dynamic Melbourne Environment and Biodiversity Team is expanding, with a robust portfolio of projects that require a key player to spearhead environmental impact assessments. You'll navigate Victorian and Commonwealth approvals processes, including Environment Effects Statements and Environmental Impact Statements, while engaging in a variety of National, State, and local infrastructure and development projects, particularly focusing on renewable energy, maritime transport, water resources, and mine rehabilitation.

What will I do?

  • Leadership in Environmental Impact Assessments: Drive comprehensive environmental impact assessments, ensuring compliance with Victorian and Commonwealth approvals processes, including Environment Effects Statements (EES) and Environmental Impact Statements (EIS).
  • Project Management Across Diverse Sectors: Manage and oversee National, State, and local infrastructure and development projects, with a particular focus on renewable energy, nearshore and offshore maritime transport, water resources, and mine rehabilitation.
  • Strategic Execution and Delivery: Contribute to the successful execution and delivery of our environmental business strategy, fostering the continued growth and development of Arup's environmental practice within Victoria and the broader Australasian region.
  • Cross-Disciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure project success and sustainability, leveraging expertise across various sectors to deliver innovative and effective environmental solutions.
  • Client and Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies, ensuring clear communication and alignment of project goals and objectives.
  • Innovation and Best Practices: Champion the integration of cutting-edge technologies and best practices in environmental assessments, continuously improving processes and outcomes.
