About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Finance Analyst to join our team at Goodman Fielder. As a key member of our Commercial Finance team, you will provide financial support to our National Retail Sales, Food Service Sales & Marketing teams to drive long-term growth & profitability in the Cake Mix Category.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and update position reports, pricing tools, and support for traded commodities, ensuring accurate insights and financial performance.
  • Analyze and manage marketing and trade spend, including promotional spend and trading terms accruals, to align with expectations.
  • Oversee financial performance by exception reporting, reviewing forecasts, ensuring month-end financial integrity, and providing insightful commentary.
  • Manage marketing spend, customer master data, product profitability analysis, and budget target allocations to sales.
  • Partner with the business for profitability analysis, performance measurement, pricing request management, and ad hoc analysis or project work.
About You
  • Proven experience in Commercial Finance Analyst role in a fast-paced commercial environment. FMCG experience is highly desired.
  • Strong financial acumen with excellent analysis, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively, while managing competing deadlines.
  • Customer-focused with the capability to make informed recommendations and prioritize sales-oriented solutions.
  • Confidence using Excel - Macros, Conditional Sum, Power Pivot tables.
  • Strong systems skills, Business Intelligence, Data mining tools, SAP, BW, and reporting tools.
  • CA/CPA/MBA qualification is desired but not essential.
