Commercial Finance Analyst Role

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide commercial finance support to the Commercial Director, Finance Director, Business Leads, and Senior Finance Governance & Control Manager.
  • Conduct financial modelling, business case development, and deliver local market insights to inform business decisions.
  • Support the 3 Year Plan process and provide ad hoc reporting to ensure timely and accurate information.
  • Engage with key business stakeholders, providing advice, business partnering, and commercial guidance to drive business performance.
  • Proactively seek opportunities to improve profitability and implement changes that drive business growth.

Key Accountabilities

  • Provide commercial finance support to ANZ stakeholders, including financial modelling, local market insights, and ad hoc reporting.
  • Assist with the planning, design, development, testing, and deployment of reporting and dashboard solutions to provide key business intelligence and analytics capabilities.
  • Translate complex data into compelling business insights and support business decisions with data-driven analysis.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business requirements and translate them into meaningful outputs and reports.
  • Ensure credibility and accuracy of reporting and assist Senior Finance Governance & Control Manager ANZ to improve the quality and format of information provided.

Key Interfaces/Relationships

  • Senior Finance Governance & Control ANZ and immediate Finance reporting team.
  • Department leads in Retail, Wholesale, Business Development.
  • Other Support function Stakeholders (HR, Marketing, Compliance).

Role-Specific Experience and Skills

  • Degree qualification with experience in a similar Commercial Finance Analyst role.
  • Technical, commercial, and reporting skills with the ability to facilitate discussions, develop initiatives, and operate effectively to drive performance.
  • Experience working with data extraction systems, familiarity with Business Objects, OLAP cubes, and SAP.
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, define and problem-solve using available data, and make reasonable assumptions.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills from stakeholders up to executive level.
