Key Responsibilities

  • Social Support: Foster a sense of community and belonging among residents by facilitating social interactions, outings, and events.
  • Emotional Care: Provide emotional support and companionship to residents with cognitive impairment or mental health needs.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the care team and Lifestyle Coordinator to ensure seamless delivery of care and activities.
  • Hygiene and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe environment by adhering to infection control protocols and hygiene standards.
  • Catering Support: Assist with meal preparation and serving, ensuring food safety and resident preferences are met.
Requirements
  • Passion for Caring: A genuine passion for enriching lives and making a positive impact on others.
  • Flexibility and Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities while maintaining a positive attitude.
  • Creative Spark: A willingness to think creatively and develop innovative activity programs.
  • Excellent Communication: Effective communication skills to build trust and rapport with residents, colleagues, and families.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience in caring for elders within an Aged Care or community setting is essential.
  • Certifications: Current Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or Individual Support, and a First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain).
  • Australian Driver's Licence: A valid Australian driver's licence is required.
