Job Title:

Traffic Operations Coordinator

 

  • Conduct traffic management services in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement and monitor the on-site operation of Traffic Management Plans & Traffic Guidance Schemes, adhering to all required safety and quality standards.
  • Monitor traffic behavior and control traffic flow, as well as flow of pedestrians and cyclists, to ensure the safety of personnel at all times.
  • Use Stop/Slow signage and/or Stop Slow Bats to manage traffic.
  • Accurately follow instructions from the Scheduling Team, Operations Manager, Team Leaders, On-Site Foremen, Inspectors, and Auditors.
  • Complete Vehicle Pre-Start Checks and Daily Diaries as necessary.
  • Submit relevant paperwork for job sites, including safety inductions, as needed.
  • Perform tasks associated with Traffic Management for Metro and Regional job sites and events.
  • Assess site hazards and check suitability of control measures for the job site.
  • Promptly report any on-site hazards and/or near misses.
  • Utilize the Traffic Management Scheduling system – Traffio – to submit forms and dockets, as required.
  • Effectively communicate and coordinate with team members using a two-way radio.
  • Operate a Visual Message Board or Truck Mounted Attenuator when necessary (if in possession of the relevant current ticket/license).

 

Requirements:

 

  • Current White Card
  • Valid Driver's License - WA License preferred, but Australian License or international License from a DoT-recognized country will be considered.
  • AWTM and/or WTM and/or OTMA Accreditation is highly regarded.
  • Previous experience in Team Leading/Crew Leading is highly regarded.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and assist where possible.
  • Focus on safety, with attention to detail and spatial awareness.
  • Reliable, motivated, punctual, and honest.
  • Physically fit and healthy.
  • For inexperienced applicants - a willingness to learn.
  • Any additional industry-relevant training or inductions will be highly regarded.
  • Any previous experience in FIFO or DIDO roles, or in regional work areas/positions, will be highly regarded.
