The Role

We are seeking a skilled Department Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our Canberra Airport store. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, improving customer experience, and ensuring the store's operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the store leadership team in achieving business objectives
  • Set an example of best service and support the team to deliver friendly and helpful advice to customers
  • Coach the team on the right service behaviours and assist with inducting and training new staff
  • Ensure merchandising standards align with business requirements and coordinate stock effectively

Requirements

  • Experience supervising customer-facing teams in a high-safety and high-compliance environment
  • Strong analytical skills and a passion for customer service
  • Ability to coach and develop others, providing feedback and getting the best out of a team
  • Opportunity to achieve results and standards by working with your team and having an open communication style
  • Be approachable and confident when interacting with customers and have an eagerness to learn about new products
  • To be on your feet assisting with customers across a wide range of retail hours
