Job Description:

The primary function of the Instrument & Electrical Technician is to execute electrical, process and utilities instrumentation and control systems within an integrated Electrical and Instrumentation team in accordance with the 21-day planning revision cycle.

This role requires developing relationships with Timor-Leste Trade Trainees, providing guidance and assisting in the ongoing development of a learning environment.

Key responsibilities include carrying out planned maintenance in accordance with the requirements of the planned maintenance system, fault finding and rectification for electrical equipment and instrumentation system, and assisting in the final commissioning of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

Additional duties involve inspecting work, hazardous area inspections, and package checks as required, preparing technical reports and work order history for entry into the maintenance management system, and understanding safety requirements and key performance indicators.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • A 'A' Grade Electrical Licence
  • A Trade Certificate of Instrument Fitting
  • An Electrical Equipment Hazardous Area Certificate endorsed to Detailed Inspections
  • A First Aid certificate
  • Low Voltage Rescue and CPR Training
  • A Current T/BOSIET
  • A MARLINS English Language Test (if applicable)
  • A Safe Working at Heights certification (within 3 years from issue)

Desirable skills include experience in Oil & Gas construction and maintenance Industry, Enter and Work in Confined Space, Operate Breathing Apparatus, and Swagelok.
