The Communications team operates from our headquarters, and the successful candidate will be expected to collaborate with the team on-site at least two days per week.

Role Overview of the Senior Communications Manager

The Senior Communications Manager plays a pivotal role in articulating our mission of connecting capital with social enterprises. This position encompasses the entire organization, focusing on elevating our profile through strategic PR and policy initiatives, while fostering relationships with key stakeholders such as media, government entities, and investment networks.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee marketing efforts for our Impact Labs division and assist in impact reporting for our social investment funds.
  2. Serve as the primary expert and spokesperson on issues related to affordable housing and homelessness in the UK.
  3. Coordinate and commission research to effectively position our organization and influence governmental and local policies.
  4. Develop and disseminate thought leadership content that reinforces our reputation as a sector expert and leader in social impact investment.
  5. Enhance our visibility and coordinate initiatives with organizations such as B Corp and Impact Europe.
  6. Lead communications efforts related to our Net Zero goals and address the cost of living challenges faced by stakeholders.
  7. Engage in hands-on content creation, including blogs, social media posts, and press releases.
  8. Support the overall marketing strategy development for ADLIB Recruitment.
Qualifications Required:
  1. Demonstrated success in a Senior Communications Manager role or equivalent.
  2. Extensive experience in marketing, PR, and policy within the housing, financial services, investment, or social enterprise sectors.
  3. In-depth knowledge of both online and offline communication strategies.
  4. Proficient in data analysis to inform communication planning.
  5. Ability to interpret complex legislation and research, translating it into a coherent company position.
  6. Exceptional writing skills, capable of making technical content accessible to diverse audiences.
  7. A proactive approach to teamwork, contributing to a small team environment where collaboration is key.
