We are seeking a passionate and experienced Swimming Teacher to join our team at the Mornington Peninsula Shire's new $35mil Aquatic & Recreation Centre in Rosebud.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone who loves swimming, working with children, and teaching the skills of swimming and water safety. As a Swimming Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality lessons that promote aquatic and leisure activities to the community.

To be successful in this role, you must possess outstanding people skills, excellent verbal communication skills, and a passion for fitness, customer service, and water safety. You should also be energetic, dynamic, outgoing, and fun, with a flair for working with children.

The ideal candidate will have a current First Aid Certificate (Level 2), Current CPR, Current Working with Children Check, and a Current National Police Check. If you do not currently hold these qualifications, you must be willing to acquire them.

We offer a competitive salary of around $60,000 - $70,000 per year, depending on experience. About the Role

This is a full-time position that requires you to work across a span of hours across the week, including weekend work. The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to communicate and interact effectively with students that have a diverse range of ages, abilities, cultures, and needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • An understanding of OHS and public safety applications within your facility
  • Ability to work mornings, evenings, and weekends
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as a strong and valuable part of the team
