The position of Facilities Assistant is critical in ensuring the upkeep and functionality of campus buildings and student accommodation across our Bourke region.

  • Maintain a clean and sanitary environment in administrative, teaching, and accommodation spaces.
  • Carry out necessary repairs and maintenance to campus buildings and student accommodation.
  • Ensure cleaning and maintenance equipment is in good working order and used safely.
  • Follow established safety protocols and promptly report any facility-related issues.
">Your Key Responsibilities Will Be To:">
  • Identify and communicate facility concerns to ensure safety and well-being.
  • Support the delivery of student placements and campus operations in the North West region.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of facilities that support rural health education and research.
  • Work under the supervision of the Facilities Officer and collaborate with the Campus Support Officer.
  • Apply established processes to complete tasks and resolve routine matters within defined responsibilities.

  • Prior experience in building maintenance or facilities support.
  • Able to operate cleaning and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.
  • A strong understanding of workplace safety procedures.
  • A proactive approach to identifying and resolving facility-related issues.
  • Able to work collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
  • Currently living in or able to relocate to the Bourke region, including surrounding townships.
  • In possession of a current driver's license.
