Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to facilitate and complete the recruitment and assessment process of carer applicants, ensuring the assessment process is undertaken in accordance with standards and procedures.

This role involves making a difference in the lives of children and young people by supporting and guiding Carers through required training and delivering training modules for carer applicants and approved carers.

About the Role:
  • Facilitate and complete the recruitment and assessment process of carer applicants
  • Respond to enquiries from prospective carers and maintain contact during the consideration phase
  • Conduct initial phone interview/s and provide feedback and suggested solutions or recommendations to the care team
  • Recruit Foster Carers to line up with approved carer recruitment strategies
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need to have demonstrated experience and skill in undertaking child focused assessments in a child and family welfare setting. Significant case work experience in the child and family field from strengths based culturally appropriate perspective is also essential.

You will need to possess recognised Social Work qualifications with eligibility for membership of the AASW and/or a Bachelor of Psychology or other relevant qualification with significant case work experience.

You will need to demonstrate knowledge and experience with the CARE model of therapeutic care or similar trauma-informed, therapeutic care models.
