Role Overview

We are seeking dedicated individuals to join our Committee of Governance, working closely with our management team to ensure the organization remains a thriving hub for all.

Key Opportunities

The Committee is looking for a Treasurer to bring financial expertise and strategic insight. This role involves collaborating with fellow committee members and staff to ensure sound financial management and growth of our community programs.

Treasurer Responsibilities
  • Attend bi-monthly Committee meetings to provide strategic direction.
  • Support our financial governance, budgeting, and reporting.
  • Contribute to shaping the future of Sussex Neighbourhood House as a welcoming and impactful community hub.
Secretary Key Opportunity

We also seek a Secretary to ensure smooth governance processes and effective communication within the Committee. This role is essential in supporting transparency and coordination across our activities.

Secretary Responsibilities
  • Prepare meeting agendas, minutes, and relevant documents.
  • Maintain accurate records of Committee business.
  • Ensure compliance with governance requirements.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for Committee correspondence.
