Service Technician Job OpportunityA leading global industry company is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join their team in Melbourne. This hands-on role involves ensuring timely completion of service projects, providing exceptional product support, and maximising revenue for the service department.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct maintenance, repairs, and servicing of customer and rental equipment, managing maintenance schedules and maintaining accurate records.
  • Initiate and receive communication with customers regarding equipment maintenance and repairs, both in-house and on-site.
  • Provide over-the-phone troubleshooting assistance to customers.
  • Coordinate and attend repair and maintenance work at various job sites.
  • Offer hands-on assistance and demonstrations for the sales team as needed.
  • Manage the check-in/check-out process of rental equipment and prepare it for dispatch.
  • Assist with warehouse operations and coordinate industrial equipment deliveries.
  • Inspect returned rental equipment and complete job cards.
  • Perform basic fabrication and repairs as required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years in a similar role with a proven track record.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, with experience in hydraulics and pneumatics being highly desirable.
  • Competence in using maintenance and repair tools.
  • Strong analytical skills and the ability to troubleshoot effectively.
  • A commitment to providing excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other relevant software.
  • Valid Australian driver's license is required.
  • Forklift license is desirable.
