Child and Family Health Registered Nurse Role
Job Overview:This role involves working closely with families to create a positive impact on their lives. As a Child and Family Health Registered Nurse, you will be part of a dynamic team that prioritizes professional growth and development.
Key Responsibilities:- Collaborate with families to identify and address their needs by conducting assessments and developing care plans in partnership with the family members.
- Provide support and guidance to parents and caregivers through effective communication and negotiation skills.
The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of evidence-based practice and population health principles, as well as experience working with families and young children from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
Requirements:- Current registration with AHPRA (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency) is mandatory.
- A postgraduate qualification relevant to the role of a Child and Family Health Nurse is required.
- Experience in working with families and young children, including those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, is highly desirable.
- Effective verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills are essential for this role.
As a Child and Family Health Registered Nurse, you will work in various settings, including client homes, clinics, and parenting groups. The opportunity to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care to families is available.
Selection Criteria:- Registration: Current enrolment with AHPRA Registered Nurse Division 1.
- Postgraduate qualification or currently enrolled in a tertiary course with completion date within 12 months of employment.
- Experience working with families and young children, including those from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds.
- Understanding of evidence-based practice and commitment to it.
- Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of the principles of population health and primary health care.
- Effective verbal, written communication, and negotiation skills are essential.
- A current NSW Drivers Licence and willingness to use for work purposes are required.
