Job Opportunity

The Department of Health is seeking a Director - Statewide Training and Delivery to lead a major reform initiative, strengthening safety and security across the state.

This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to build a system-wide program driving cultural change, enhancing workforce capability, and improving safety outcomes in every region of Tasmania.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate Occupational Violence Prevention policies, procedures, and protocols for efficient establishment, management, and evaluation of OVP & related education provision risks and functions.
  • Create and maintain frameworks and modelling on key strategic risks and objectives. Prepare high-level documentation, complex briefings, reports, submissions, and correspondence for executive staff, the Secretary, and key stakeholders.
  • Provide leadership, direction, and coordination to team members and coordinate reporting and accountability processes.

Requirements:

  • A strong background in occupational violence prevention, risk management, or a related field.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including executive staff, the Secretary, and key partners.
