Establishing a dynamic Accounts Payable function is crucial for the financial stability and success of our organization.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the accounts payable process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Accounts Payable Management: Oversee the entire accounts payable cycle for multiple entities, utilizing an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, workbench, and cloud-based accounting software.
  • Review and verify purchase orders to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Investigate discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
  • Manage supplier onboarding and account maintenance, maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Conduct regular reconciliations of supplier statements and credit card transactions.
  • Allocate payments for travel, tolls, fuel, and mobile service providers in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure invoices are accurately costed to projects and departments, aligning with budgetary requirements.
  • Maintain the accounts payable inbox, responding to invoice submissions and queries from suppliers in a timely manner.
  • Prepare comprehensive reports for weekly payment reviews and ensure timely processing of bi-weekly and monthly payment runs.
  • Assist with half-year and end-of-financial-year activities, including closing processes and ancillary tasks as required.
