About this RoleWe are seeking an experienced Professional Independence Specialist to join our Risk and Quality team in Sydney.
You will be the point of contact for general inquiries about relationship checks, independence system, and independence letters.
You will also liaise with global Grant Thornton member firms, collate data, conduct family tree research, and perform data entry tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Respond to queries from internal and external stakeholders regarding independence matters
- Perform relationship checks using the global independence system and other sources
- Prepare and issue independence letters to clients and third parties
- Assist with data entry, data validation, and data analysis tasks
- Conduct research on corporate structures and family trees
- Support the Independence Manager and Partner with ad hoc projects and tasks
- Previous experience in a similar role or in an accounting, audit, or risk function
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- A competitive salary of AU$80,000 - AU$110,000 per annum
- A hybrid work environment based in Sydney
