Job Overview

The Drill Hall Gallery is a renowned venue for contemporary art, featuring high-quality exhibitions of Australian and international art. As Curator, Exhibitions, you will be responsible for organizing and implementing exhibition programs, ensuring the highest museum standards are maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Curate and coordinate exhibition programs, including installation and de-installation within tight deadlines
  • Liaise with stakeholders, curators, artists, and institutions to ensure successful exhibitions
  • Oversee the construction, management, and coordination of exhibition programs, as well as associated publishing, outreach, and promotional activities
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Demonstrated high-level experience in research and presentation of artworks for display and maintenance
  • Working knowledge of contemporary Australian art, cataloguing, and art handling procedures to museum standards
  • Excellent communication and administration skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a small team
