Are you a motivated and enthusiastic individual looking for a new challenge in the aged care sector?

We are seeking an experienced kitchen assistant to join our team at Churches of Christ, Gracehaven Aged Care Service in Bundaberg.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time opportunity where you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and serving of food to our residents.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing meals for residents in the dining room and tray service to their rooms;
  • Maintaining the cleanliness of the kitchen, dining room, and equipment throughout the shift;
  • Setting up and cleaning the dining room before and after serving foods;
  • Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation;
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

You will also need to possess:

  • Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (desired but not essential);
  • Experience working within a kitchen and serving of meals;
  • Experience working within the Aged Care industry (desired);
  • Current National Police Certificate, or the willingness to complete one;
