Mental Health Clinical Lead Job DescriptionThis is a dynamic leadership role where you can make a positive difference in the lives of young people. The Mental Health Clinical Lead provides oversight of the coordination and delivery of clinical services to the highest standard to meet the needs of young people and their families.
The successful candidate will provide support and guidance to a multidisciplinary team, coordinate clinical reviews, actively support the management of referrals and demand management strategies.
This role requires specific and thorough knowledge of clinical and community mental health approaches, as well as a comprehensive understanding of primary, secondary and tertiary mental health services and best practice guidelines.
You will be an integral member of a team that fosters a culture of inclusiveness, collaboration and support.
This is a full-time fixed-term opportunity until June 2025, with extension subject to funding.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Current full registration as a clinical psychologist, registered psychologist, mental health nurse (accredited with the ACMHN), occupational therapist (accredited with OTA) or social worker (accredited with the AASW) and meet eligibility for a Medicare provider number.
- Advanced clinical skills including clinical triage, assessment, delivery of evidence-based focused psychological therapies and support of young people at risk.
- Demonstrated understanding of key issues in relation to the health and wellbeing needs of young people with mental health and/or substance use problems.
- Demonstrated skills in clinical supervision and clinical leadership within a multidisciplinary team.
Salary: $120,000 - $150,000 per annum
