- Hold a valid driver's license with the necessary endorsements for interstate driving.
- Maintain a clean driving record and be able to provide proof of this requirement.
- Undergo a national criminal history check and pass a pre-employment medical assessment.
- Possess a MC - Multi Combination endorsement.
Job Summary:
This role plays a vital part in our logistics operation, ensuring the efficient delivery and pick-up of products and equipment from various sites and suppliers. As a Transport Driver, you will contribute to our operations, service excellence, safety standards, and equipment maintenance.
You will be responsible for optimizing delivery routes and processes while adhering to regulations and promoting a culture of safety, reliability, and service excellence. This position requires relevant experience as a truck driver, preferably with HC experience, and knowledge of interstate transportation regulations, 3PL services, and safety standards.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent driving skills, good communication and interpersonal skills, and attention to detail. You will also need physical stamina and strength to handle loading and unloading cargo when required. Flexibility to work varying hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate heavy-duty trucks for nationwide transportation, including full load distribution and 3PL services.
- Load and unload cargo, ensuring secure handling and proper freight management during transit.
- Adhere to the Proof of Delivery process in Carton Cloud, promptly reporting any issues or delays to ensure swift resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Plan routes and schedules to optimize delivery times, reduce fuel consumption, and increase efficiency.
- Coordinate with dispatchers and logistics coordinators to facilitate timely pickups and deliveries and maintain accurate records of delivery status.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any mechanical issues or safety concerns to the relevant Paramount Freightlines representative.
- Maintain accurate records of driving hours, mileage, and fuel usage, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Communicate effectively with customers, warehouse personnel, and other stakeholders to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues that may arise during transit.
- Represent the company professionally at all times, providing excellent customer service and upholding safety protocols and procedures.
- Comply with Chain of Responsibility policies and procedures, adhering to legal and regulatory requirements across all operations.
- Uphold company standards regarding vehicle maintenance, cleanliness, and appearance.
