About the Opportunity

The primary focus of this position is to assess and support the development of commercialisation initiatives into and through our pre-seed pipeline, and manage the ongoing development of those initiatives. This role is suited to an early-stage venture investment/fund manager seeking hands-on involvement and expertise in curating, developing, and presenting opportunities for pre-seed investment to our Pre-seed investment committee.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Assessing and supporting the development of commercialisation initiatives
  • Managing governance-related activities in relation to investment/fund processes
  • Providing recommendations and advice at senior management, Investment Committee, and executive management level
  • Collaborating with researchers, students, and other stakeholders to develop commercialisation initiatives
Essential Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this position, you'll have:

  • Postgraduate degree in science, technology, and/or business, with demonstrated experience in commercialising university research or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
  • Experience in early-stage venture fund management, including setting up governance processes
  • Experience in managing and curating a technology pipeline in concert with stakeholders
  • Start-up creation or board experience to guide and assist founders and their early-stage technology companies
