Revenue Officer

SA Health is seeking a skilled Revenue Officer to join our team in Port Lincoln. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for processing hospital billing, collecting and recording receipts, and monitoring outstanding patient debtor balances.
Key Responsibilities:
- Process hospital billing, including generating invoices and claims to health funds and third parties.
- Collect and record receipts, monitor outstanding patient debtor balances, and process write-offs.
- Liaise with internal departments and external organizations to ensure effective patient billing and claims management.
- Prepare and run periodic and ad-hoc financial reports, including end-of-month reconciliations.
- Conduct general cashier activities, including cash handling and customer inquiries.
- Assist with debt management matters and provide clerical support to the Revenue and Finance Services division.
Requirements:
- Demonstrated experience in hospital or medical billing and receipting functions.
- Strong analytical skills with accurate and efficient data entry capabilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and computerised accounting systems.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to engage with a diverse range of customers.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team, managing high volumes of work effectively.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and professional integrity.
