Delivering High-Quality Care and Support to Vulnerable Youth
Berry Street's Residential Care Program provides a supportive and nurturing environment for children and young people aged 10 to 17. As a residential care worker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional therapeutic care, implementing evidence-based interventions, and fostering independence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with a dedicated team to deliver high-quality care and support services.
- Implement current best practice therapeutic interventions and program guidelines.
- Act as a positive role model, supporting young people in their educational, social, and recreational pursuits.
- Create a safe and nurturing home environment, including managing household duties and providing nutritious meals.
Requirements:
- A minimum Cert IV in Child, Youth & Family Intervention or equivalent qualification.
- Strong communication skills, active listening, and commitment to maintaining professional boundaries.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and ability to multitask with ease.
- Creative thinking and a non-judgmental approach to life.
- A driver's license is essential for transporting young people.
