Heavy Diesel Mechanic Job Opportunity

As a Heavy Diesel Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to work in a DIDO capacity across numerous WA mining projects, taking on a range of field service work.

In this position, you will be responsible for:

  • Performing servicing, repair, and maintenance of large-scale mobile mining equipment, adhering to documentation and technical guidelines.
  • Undertaking maintenance, diagnostics, breakdowns, services, and component change-outs for Thiess/Fleet Co machinery.
  • Accessing technical information from relevant manuals, bulletins, OEM systems, and computer-based resources.
  • Demonstrating sound knowledge of various equipment, including Hitachi, Liebherr, and CAT machines.
  • Contributing to maximising equipment utilisation and the success of the Maintenance team.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Heavy Diesel Fitting or equivalent qualification.
  • Valid Manual Driver's Licence.
  • High Risk Work Licences (LF, DG, RG, EWP) – not essential but preferable.
  • Significant post-trade experience working in Surface Mining or Heavy Earth Moving industry.
  • Sound experience in General Maintenance, Breakdowns, Component Change Outs, and Servicing of Heavy Earth Moving Equipment.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety.
