Financial Accountant Opportunity

Standards Australia is seeking a highly skilled Financial Accountant to join our team on a 14-month fixed term contract. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial information, including month-end close tasks, balance sheet reconciliations, and internal project reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform month-end financial accounting tasks, including journal postings and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with month-end P&L and balance sheet variance analysis
  • Assist with preparation of year-end statutory accounts, including preparation of audit work papers and audit requests
  • Assist with tax reporting obligations, including FBT, Workers Compensation, and preparation of monthly BASs
  • Preparation of externally funded projects reporting and holding meetings with project managers
  • Ad hoc duties as required

About You:

  • At least 3-5 years' experience in a similar role
  • CPA/CA qualified
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics, Microsoft Great Plains, or similar applications
