Job Opportunity:

The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional to fill the position of Claims Delegate in Perth. As a key member of our Benefits Division, you will play a critical role in enabling eligible veterans to access compensation, health, and other care services that promote self-sufficiency, well-being, and quality of life.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Exercise delegations under the Military Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2004 (MRCA) and the Safety, Rehabilitation and Compensation (Defence-related Claims) Act 1988 (DRCA) in relation to the provision of compensation services.
  • Provide advice and guidance to clients and providers in regards to compensation services.
  • Identify high-risk/complex clients and implement strategies to ensure client safety.
  • Monitor and manage external provider progress.
  • Liaise with internal DVA stakeholders to progress cases.
  • Participate in representational work.
  • Contribute to the development of a cohesive and supportive team environment.
