Key Responsibilities:
  • Scheduling and coordinating mechanical maintenance activities and inspections
  • Complying with safety management systems, coal mining legislation, engineering standards at underground operations
  • Contributing to maintenance strategies to minimize costs, maximize equipment availability and meet production requirements
  • Ensuring effective and safe use of equipment through complying with site procedures, instructions and equipment specifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a strong work ethic, excellent attendance record and relevant trade certification along with driver's endorsement, brake testing qualifications.

The successful candidate will report to the Maintenance Superintendent and be responsible for planning, coordinating and supervising daily activities of work crews. They will ensure compliance with internal and client requirements, as well as ensuring that quality production and environmental requirements are met.
