Director of Strategic Water Initiatives

This pivotal role encompasses leadership and expertise in managing large-scale water infrastructure projects, from planning to execution. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of water treatment, distribution networks, and civil infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategic leadership across multiple water infrastructure projects
  • Oversee project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Manage stakeholder relationships with government agencies, contractors, and consultants
  • Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and regulatory standards
  • Lead risk management and quality assurance processes
  • Mentor and guide project managers and technical teams
  • Report progress to executive leadership and ensure alignment with business goals

Requirements:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project delivery, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
  • Proven track record in managing large-scale water infrastructure projects
  • Strong understanding of Australian water regulations and environmental compliance
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification (preferred)
