Water Design Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Design Specialist to join our team. This role involves delivering civil and mechanical design documentation for infrastructure projects across New South Wales, Queensland, and beyond.

Our team has expertise in 12d model workflows and is looking for a senior drafter or designer to collaborate with us. A comparable Civil3D user would be highly regarded, especially one with a desire to provide technical coaching for junior designers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead design and drafting efforts across civil, mechanical, and structural disciplines for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
  • Produce detailed process and mechanical design documentation using AutoCAD and 12d Model or Civil3D.
  • Collaborate closely with engineers to develop optimal, cost-effective designs for major water projects and other infrastructure projects.
  • Apply expertise in designing and detailing water and wastewater infrastructure, pipelines, and pump stations.
  • Utilise advanced software tools to streamline drafting processes and ensure high-quality outputs.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in general civil design, particularly in water and wastewater infrastructure.
  • A strong foundation in water and sewerage design, including pipelines and pump stations with at least 5 years' industry experience using 12D or Civil3D, and AutoCAD.
  • A desire to work on varying projects and technical elements.
  • Contribute to management and prioritization of team workloads.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to work both autonomously and in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Desirable experience using Inventor 3D, Revit, Plant 3D, GIS capabilities.
  • Familiarity with Australian Water Authority drafting standards.
