Strategic Communications Specialist

You will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic communications framework for high-risk infrastructure projects across North Queensland.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice on issues management, stakeholder engagement, and risk assessment to senior leaders and project teams.
  • Develop strong relationships with key stakeholders, including ministerial staff, government representatives, community organisations, and industry partners.
  • Design and implement communication strategies to support project delivery and ensure effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Coordinate community consultations, road openings, media events, and other activities to facilitate QTRIP delivery.
  • Monitor regional projects to identify emerging trends and communication risks.
Qualifications and Skills:

A degree in communications, public relations, journalism or marketing is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have proven experience in communications, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and strong leadership abilities.
