Job Summary

The Department of Education, Western Australia seeks a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Services Professional to lead its business operations. As the key financial and administrative leader, you will work closely with the Principal to manage the school's financial administration and achievement of strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the strategic and day-to-day financial, physical and human resources aspects of the school's business operations in collaboration with the Principal.
  • Deliver effective financial administration, including financial planning, budgeting, monitoring and reporting to achieve the school's financial objectives.
  • Develop a strong team ethos within the Administration Team and contribute to the school's Business Plan.
  • Lead a team of school support staff and ensure governance, reporting and compliance with relevant legislation and requirements.
  • Support infrastructure management, maintenance and works projects as part of the school's priorities.
Requirements:
  • Strong established financial management capabilities; experience in budget preparation and applying financial and accounting practices.
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in leadership of a team and in providing high-level human resource and financial advice.
  • Understanding of relevant legislation, reporting and governance requirements related to the role.
  • Experience in infrastructure management, maintenance and works projects is advantageous.
