Job Description

This position is responsible for leading a team of compliance and enforcement officers to support Tobacco Licensing Victoria. The successful candidate will have experience in conducting and managing complex and sensitive compliance and enforcement functions within a regulatory or law enforcement environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supervising a team of staff undertaking compliance and enforcement functions
  • Conducting investigations, compiling evidence, and preparing documents required to support TLV's compliance and enforcement activities
  • Providing guidance to staff on appropriate compliance and enforcement action in accordance with TLV policies and procedures

The role requires flexibility to work in the field and perform duties outside of normal business hours, including evening and weekend shifts and overnight travel to regional Victoria when operationally required at different times throughout the year.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in conducting and managing complex and sensitive compliance and enforcement functions within a regulatory or law enforcement environment
  • Highly developed stakeholder management skills with a track record in building and maintaining successful partnerships with a broad client base
  • Qualifications such as a Certificate IV in Government Investigations or relevant tertiary qualification and/or significant experience leading compliance and enforcement operations or investigations in a regulatory or law enforcement context
