The University of Canberra is seeking an experienced and passionate leader to join our team as the Associate Director - Indigenous Student Success. This is a key role in our commitment to increasing the representation of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people within our University community.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the operational aspects of the Ngunnawal Centre, ensuring the success and realisation of Indigenous Student Success and the Centre.
- Strategically collaborate and foster relations with internal and external stakeholders to achieve specific targets related to Indigenous student success.
- Develop and maintain a culturally safe and supportive environment for Indigenous prospective students, current students, staff, and alumni.
- Supervise staff performance and continuously improve practices and procedures.
We are looking for a candidate with a relevant bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, as well as a strong understanding of Indigenous education and support services. You should have experience in program development, implementation, and evaluation, and possess exceptional analytical and reporting skills. Commitment to promoting Indigenous student success and higher education is crucial, as well as financial management experience, excellent organisational and administrative skills.
Strong leadership and team management abilities are also important, along with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
