At Rail Infrastructure Australia, we have a fantastic opportunity for experienced Track Machine Operators to join our WA Rail Surfacing team. This role involves operating in a Drive-In Drive-Out capacity, depending on project location.

Primary project locations include South-West, Wheat-Belt and Goldfields-Esperance freight networks and Perth urban passenger network. There may also be opportunities to support project work in the Pilbara region on a short-term ad-hoc basis.

As a successful candidate, you will possess:

  • A strong understanding and focus on safety
  • The ability to work as part of a team and unsupervised
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Recent experience working as a Rail Track Machine Operator

We are particularly interested in candidates with experience in:

  • Plasser 08-16SP Tamper Operators
  • Plasser 08-16SH Tamper Operators
  • Plasser Unimat Operators
  • Ballast Regulator Experience (PBR / JBR / Plasser SSP / other)

Desirable attributes include:

  • Plasser ALC system knowledge and computer experience
  • MR vehicle licence
  • Safeworking experience / qualifications on the Arc Infrastructure network
  • Cert II / Cert III in Rail Infrastructure
