Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Home Care Support Worker to join our team at Australian Unity. As a vital member of our Home Health program, you will deliver in-home support services to our aged care customers, empowering them to live independently within their own homes and communities.

About the Role

This is a permanent part-time position, with opportunities for extra hours based on business needs. You will be required to work a stable roster between Monday and Friday, earning an hourly rate of $31.74 to $32.56 per hour, plus 11.5% superannuation.

  • Earn a competitive hourly rate with opportunities for extra hours

Key Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assisting clients with daily tasks such as cleaning, laundry, meal preparation, and assisted dressing. You will also provide transportation to appointments, shopping, and social outings, while adhering to health and safety guidelines and policies to ensure the well-being of yourself and our customers.

  • Assist clients with daily tasks, including personal care and hygiene
  • Provide safe and reliable transportation to appointments and social events
  • Build strong relationships with clients and their families, conducting client observations and providing ongoing support and training
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current Australian Driver's License and ownership of a reliable insured vehicle
  • Minimum 6 months experience in a similar industry and/or a Certification in Care
  • Flexibility and availability to work a stable roster between Monday and Friday
  • Proficiency in English language
