Accounts Receivable Officer Role Summary

About the Position:
  • Maintain confidentiality of client records and organisational matters.
  • To have a solid understanding of how Accounts Receivable functions impact other departments.

  • Perform regular account reconciliations to maintain accuracy and consistency.
  • Handle data input and maintain accounts receivable files and records.
  • Produce accurate monthly financial reports.
  • Investigate and resolve any irregularities or inquires.
  • Liaise with staff and external customers to address concerns or discrepancies.
  • Support automation processes and manually receipt payments as needed.
  • Manage outstanding debtors.

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer who can provide exceptional attention to detail and effective communication skills.

About You:
  • 2-3 years demonstrated experience working as Accounts Receivable Officer in a high-volume function.
  • High proficiency in data entry.
  • Understanding of full Accounts Receivable process, including invoicing, payment processing, debt collection, and account reconciliation.
  • Proven ability to maintain Accounts Receivable functions at a consistently high standard.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated competence with Microsoft Office suite of products and processes relevant to Accounts Receivable.
  • Understanding of basic accounting principles including GST treatments.
  • Experience in reconciling General Ledger Accounts.
  • Current drivers' licence.
  • A current Working with Children check (with clearance to work with children).
  • National Police Check.
  • NDIS Worker Screening Check or a willingness to obtain one.

  1. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external customers.
  2. Contribute to maintaining efficient and effective Accounts Receivable processes.
  3. Comply with organisational policies and procedures.
  4. Develop and maintain professional knowledge and skills in areas relevant to the role.
