The Director of Accounting is responsible for overseeing all accounting and reporting activities, ensuring the accurate recording and reporting of financial information.
This includes the development and monitoring of control systems to preserve company assets and report accurate financial results.
The Director of Accounting supervises daily accounting activities, collects, analyzes, verifies, and reports a myriad of financial information.
- Supervise the accounting team and manage all functions of the accounting department.
- Direct the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate recording and reporting of financial information.
- Establish and maintain the organization's overall accounting systems, procedures, and policies to ensure accuracy and integrity.
- Direct preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information, including budgets, planning, and required filings and reports.
- Manage all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance; Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license and/or Master's Degree is preferred.
At least 10 years progressive accounting and financial experience, with 5-7 years in a management role; preferable in a nonprofit or related industry.
BenefitsThe position offers a competitive salary range between $85,000 to $95,000.

Assists CFO in analyzing financial data and presenting financial reports to CEO and Board in an accurate and timely manner.
Assists CFO with internal and external audit of financial processes and statements.
