The Senior Accountant position involves accurately preparing accounting records, maintaining general ledger accountability, financial reporting, and profitability analysis. This role also supports special projects as assigned.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain general ledger by recording transactions, ensuring accuracy, and preparing journal entries.
- Assist in the monthly close process, including preparation of account reconciliations.
- Audit and verify transaction documents.
- Assist in the preparation of reports, including financial records and statements for management.
- Investigate variance issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- MBA or CPA certification is preferred.
- 4+ years of accounting experience is preferred.
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial controls.
- Excellent organizational, collaboration, and communication skills.
- Excellent prioritization and time management skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
This is a full-time position based in Cleveland, OH.
