As a passionate advocate for women's rights, you will work closely with clients from diverse backgrounds, providing holistic and culturally sensitive support. Your expertise in civil law, particularly domestic and family violence, will be highly valued.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert legal advice and representation to women affected by domestic and family violence
- Work collaboratively with clients, colleagues, and community partners to achieve positive outcomes
- Develop and deliver training programs on trauma-informed practice and DFV
- Contribute to policy development and advocacy efforts to promote women's rights and social justice
- Bachelor of Laws or equivalent qualification
- Practising Certificate in the Northern Territory
- Experience working with CALD and First Nations communities
- Knowledge of general civil law matters, particularly DFV
- Prior experience in Community Legal Centres and familiarity with the CLASS database
- Competitive base salary plus 12% Super
- Relocation assistance up to $3,000 and support to help you settle
- Six weeks' annual leave + an additional 12 days' personal leave
