About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Delivery Station Manager to join our team at Amazon. As a key member of our Operations team, you will be responsible for leading a team of Shift Managers and Shift Assistants to ensure the smooth operation of our Delivery Stations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Review operational forecasts and determine productivity requirements for the delivery station.
  • Manage a team to meet all building goals and objectives.
  • Support all safety programs to ensure a safe work environment for all associates and delivery service providers.
  • Proactively identify and lead process improvement initiatives and Lean tools.
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of Process Assistants and Delivery Service Providers in daily management of the delivery station, including meetings, training sessions, assigning job duties, and communicating with FLEX drivers.
  • Ensure a safe work place, properly trained people, and that their needs are addressed so they can focus on their jobs.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar, innovative logistics or distribution environment.
  • Previous experience in leading large, diverse teams.
  • Experience in employee and performance management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proven ability in establishing and carrying out root cause analysis, and then extracting and analyzing the data generated.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with performance metrics, process improvement, and Lean techniques.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving skills and analytical skills.
  • Experience with a contingent workforce during peak seasons.
  • Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Kaizen methodologies.
