Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Field Engineer to join our team on the Pluto Train 2 project. As a key member of our project team, you will be responsible for providing project field engineering specialisation and expertise in work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge.

Key Responsibilities
  • Interpret mechanical design drawings, codes and specifications, equipment installation, and field verification of materials.
  • Constructability reviews and coordinates design issues relating to the mechanical discipline such as mechanical equipment installation, maintenance, and testing.
  • Reviews material receiving reports and performs material receiving inspections.
  • Works with the engineering and procurement organizations to ensure that design documents, drawings and vendor manuals are on site prior to the receipt of the equipment.
  • Issues Field Material Requisitions (FMRs) for purchase of permanent plant materials.
  • Coordinates with vendor technical advisors as required.
Requirements
  • University/B.S degree in a relevant engineering discipline is desired but may be waived if equivalent industry experience can be demonstrated.
  • 3-5 years minimum construction/field engineering experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to Environment, Safety and Health (ES&H).
  • Demonstrated commitment to a Zero Accident safety program.
  • Have working knowledge of mechanical operations.
  • Must be familiar with internationally accepted mechanical codes and standards (e.g. Australian Codes and Standards, ASME).
