Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Field Engineer to join our team at Bechtel Corporation. As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in providing project field engineering specialization and expertise with work planning and packaging, material management, quantity verification and validation, safety and quality control, technical inspection and testing knowledge, and subcontract coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement construction plans and procedures to ensure safe and efficient project execution.
  • Coordinate with project teams to ensure accurate material management and quantity verification.
  • Conduct technical inspections and testing to ensure compliance with project requirements and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors to ensure smooth project execution and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of project systems and area scoping to ensure accurate package development.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 5-8 years of relevant experience or 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Oil & Gas or LNG Project construction experience as a Field Engineer.
  • Knowledge and experience with Australian Codes & Standards for Structural Steel Installation.
  • Knowledge of Bechtel Standard Applications (BSAPs) – Teamworks, Unifier, Cornerstone, SteelSlayer, DSCS.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability and strong communication skills.

Working Conditions:

This position requires extensive walking in and around an active construction and/or operations site, climbing ladders, working at heights from work platforms including scaffolding, and mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs), use of personal fall arrest equipment, walking and working on uneven surfaces, working in constricted and/or confined spaces, variable work shifts (e.g., day, night, weekends, 1st, 2nd, 3rd shift, etc.), and work in inclement weather.
