Job Opportunity: Senior ER Consultant

This role is ideal for a seasoned professional with in-depth knowledge of employee relations, particularly in managing litigation and providing strategic guidance in a fast-paced environment.


  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage complex ER matters, including unfair dismissals, general protections claims, stop bullying and sexual harassment orders, from initial consultation to final resolution.
  • Take a proactive approach in managing workplace grievances and investigations, ensuring effective outcomes in cases involving bullying, harassment, discrimination, and victimisation.
  • Oversight of disciplinary processes, guiding leaders on managing performance concerns and sensitive employee matters while promoting a culture of respect and fairness.
  • Act as a key point of escalation for advisors and senior advisors, supporting them with complex cases and providing expert advice.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across different business units to drive consistent and effective ER practices, fostering a positive work environment.

  • Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in HR, ER, legal, or related fields, demonstrating a strong foundation in employment law and best practices.
  • At least 6 years of experience in providing ER advice, with a proven track record of handling high-volume litigation cases effectively.
  • Experience managing conciliations and disputes in the Fair Work Commission or similar employment tribunals, showcasing expertise in negotiation and dispute resolution.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage workplace investigations, grievances, and disciplinary matters impartially, maintaining confidentiality and adhering to relevant policies.
  • A background in creating and delivering training programs on ER topics, enhancing knowledge sharing and capacity building within the organisation.
