About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Business Analyst to join our team at Abbott Laboratories in Sydney. As a Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in supporting the sales and marketing function by providing timely market data, sales force activity data, and customized reports.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and update market plans, including the New Zealand Plan and Australia Plan, in collaboration with the Financial Controller.
  • Analyze and review monthly accounts, developing commentary versus benchmarks in conjunction with the Financial Controller.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing to evaluate the success of key promotional strategies.
  • Assist with budget and forecast planning, ensuring alignment across Sales, Marketing, Demand, and Finance.
  • Collaborate with the Area finance team and facilitate ad-hoc requests with the local ANZ team.
  • Contribute to improving sales force effectiveness and increase awareness of SFE measures, providing regular reports to managers.
  • Provide training to Sales and Marketing on key systems, ensuring current use and understanding of territory management systems and market data.
  • Support the Finance and Logistics Manager in preparing the Demand statement and deck for S&OP and other tasks as needed.
  • Participate in special projects as directed by the Financial Controller or General Manager.
Requirements
  • 2-3 years of experience in a financial or planning role.
  • Sales and marketing experience, with a demonstrable understanding of Market Audit data and proprietary territory management systems.
  • Strong analytical, statistical, and mathematical skills.
  • Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
  • Experience in using SAP and strong BPCS skills.
  • Good commercial and industry awareness.
  • Strong time management, teamwork, and execution skills.
